Join naturalist John Kipping as we explore the unique archipelago astride our equator, six hundred miles off Ecuador. We shall examine the major islands which have served as isolated laboratories in the development of many species of tortoises, finches, cacti, and lava lizards. These unique habitats existed without major predators, resulting in a unique garden of Eden-like lack of fear towards humans. Marine bird life will be emphasized.  This national park has managed the eco-tourism industry to protect the resources and fund their management.

Contact ARC to sign up and for meeting location (Coloma area).

Suggested donation: $5/members, $10/non-members.
