Ladies Valley

Located along the North Fork Cosumnes River, Ladies Valley provides exceptional habitat for native wildlife.  The Cosumnes River is the only river on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada without any major dams.  The Cosumnes supports spawning habitat for Fall-run Chinook salmon, California red-legged frog, western toad, western pond turtle, and many other imperiled native aquatic species.  Majestic valley oak, riparian forests and oak woodland habitat support local wildlife populations and link with existing public lands along the North Fork Cosumnes River.  The American River Conservancy purchased this 500-acre property in two phases with funding from the State Natural Resources Agency, Wildlife Conservation Board and Resources Legacy Fund Foundation.
