What information we collect: 

American River Conservancy may ask for and collect from you personally identifiable information at various points throughout the site. This occurs for example, when you register on the website or make a donation. Depending on the information and/or services you request, you may be asked to provide your name, address, payment details, and email address. Once you provide your personal information, you are not anonymous. If you choose to provide your credit card information, we will use that information only for the purposes for which it was provided. 

In addition to the information you knowingly provide, the Conservancy also collects the domain names and IP addresses used by people that visit us, as well as site usage statistics such as web browser types and page requests. This data is not usually personally identifiable, and is used to help determine how to promote the Conservancy, and to improve and administer the Website.

How we use the information:

•For the purposes for which you provided the information (such as to process donations, register or renew you as a member or volunteer, complete registration for a program, or respond to your inquiry).

•To personalize the content of the Website and alert you to new American River Conservancy projects and events.

•To enforce our Terms of Use.

•To conduct surveys to see how we’re doing in meeting our community’s needs and to collect suggestions for improvements with our service.

We attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your personal information. The information we collect is processed on servers within the United States. Our servers are protected by reasonable physical and electronic security.

a) Children: The Website may contain educational material for all ages. This Website is not directed toward children under 13 years of age nor does the Conservancy knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit any personally identifiable information to the Conservancy.
