Local Community
Our community is integral to the work we do. Whether it's organizing TrailFest, volunteering to do trail work or supporting the American River Conservancy by becoming a member, our community comes together to protect the resources we all value. The local community was instrumental in creating the American River Land Trust in 1989, which became the American River Conservancy in 1994. Our supporters believe strongly in preserving our local rivers and land for wildlife and future generations of community members.

TrailFest is an annual event held in June to benefit local trails projects. Local community members, businesses, artists and donors come together to make TrailFest a successful fundraiser every year. Every TrailFest is a fun, family-friendly evening on the beautiful South Fork American River in Lotus, California -- full of local wine, local food, children's activities, art and hundreds of great auction items. Thank you to the 2010 TrailFest Supporters:
