Cronan Ranch Hike

December 9th 8:30 – 11:30am   Hike a longer loop of the Cronan Ranch trails with ARC hike leader and author Tom Petersen. Come enjoy a variety of terrain, great views of the river, and the rolling prairie on this challenging 5-7 mile hike. This is a moderate level hike, with some challenging elevation change. Flemming Meadows Dog Hike

Sunday, December 10th 9am-1pm Join dog-lover and ARC volunteer Janet Rossi at Sly Park Lake for a 4-mile easy-intermediate hike (with some elevation change) in the Fleming Meadows trail system. At the elevation of 4000 feet you’ll enjoy pine forests and beautiful trails slightly shared with bikers and equestrians. Ages 10+ welcome. Snow or heavy rain cancels. Giving Garden Workday – December 12th

December 12 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Tuesday, December 12th from 10am - 2pm. The Giving Garden is a part of the historic Wakamatsu farm where volunteers assist in seasonal plantings, weed management, mulch application, fruit tree pruning, crop and orchard fertilizing, seed germination, plant propagation as well as fruit and veggie harvesting. During the winter we aim to plant cover crops to protect our precious soils from wind and rain erosion.
